hi guys.....yes, I use them and they work! I had read about using them but was skeptical....I carry a couple different types of emergers already....did i really need another one? I became a believer when my old standby loopwing emergers weren't getting any looks from the rising fish. In desperation, I tied on a parachute hare's ear someone had given me and the fish responded favorably. I now carry a good selection and use them when the fish in these small, hard fished streams might be looking for something just a little different.
My understanding is some mayflies like the Hendrickson rise to the surface and back to the bottom a number of times before resting on the surface to split their husk and emerg their wings.
